2022 New Year’s Celebration of the Piraeus Club of Entrepreneurs & Scientists
With great success, the first New Year’s cake-cutting event of the Piraeus Club of Entrepreneurs & Scientists took place on Wednesday, February 16, at Beluga Art bar-restaurant in Piraeus.
The event took place in a particularly warm and positive atmosphere, attended by friends and members of the Club from the maritime and business sectors, as well as representatives from the political sphere and local government. Among the guests was the Deputy Minister of Shipping and Island Policy, Mr. Konstantinos Katsafados, who congratulated the initiators of the Club, emphasizing that this initiative will give a significant boost to entrepreneurship and bring positive changes to the city of Piraeus as a whole. “We must all stand as supporters and allies of such initiatives,” Mr. Katsafados noted, among other remarks.
Also honoring the event with their presence were Members of Parliament for Piraeus A: Ioannis Melas, Nikolaos Manolakos, and Christoforos Boutsikakis, as well as the MP for Piraeus B, Dimitris Markopoulos.
In attendance were also Dimitris Konstantopoulos, MP for Aetolia-Acarnania (KINAL), the Mayor of Korydallos, Nikolaos Choursalas, Piraeus Regional Councilor with “New Beginning for Attica,” Stavros Voidonikolas, ND political candidate for Piraeus A, Zoe Roussou, as well as Deputy Mayors, Presidents of Chambers of Commerce, and heads of professional associations.
The President of the Club, Mr. Stavros Kassidiaris, warmly thanked all those who attended and honored the Club’s first public event, held ten months after its founding. “We are truly excited to see the Club growing every day, already counting hundreds of members. We are optimistic and look forward to further growth and development, relying on the tremendous potential of Piraeus,” Mr. Kassidiaris noted, also congratulating the members for their work and contributions. The cake-cutting was followed by a light meal and drinks in the atmospheric setting of Beluga Art, along with a prize draw for attendees.
